Ive slept in my 54 and the lume lasts all night. It may not be super bright but when its dark and your pupils are expanded its super easy to see. Maybe you got a faulty dial

I've had the 015 and the 009 for several months now. 7" wrists. At first I thought the 009 was too big and I wore the 015 daily. But I was afraid of the bezel fading too much on the 015 so I started wearing the 009 as my daily beater. I had it on a jubilee which I liked, but I just recently put it on a Z22 rubber strap and I like it even more now. I did have to bend the strap and and roll it to break it in. I still love the small size and overall charm of the 015, but the 009 gets the most wrist time.

It amazes me how some people are reacting as if you criticise their personal BB54... It's possible that the first batch had some weakness in lume... It's also possible that yours has a QC issue. I dont know. But what I do know that if it is indeed a common problem they should add some more layers of lume to the hands. I mean if a €250 San Martin can do the job more than decently you would expect more from a €4000 watch.

You're criticizing the lume on a dive-watch while doing the review from the comfort of a car. Has that watch even been in a pool yet?

I was looking at the Tudor BB 54 but keep coming across quality control issues. Watches a month old going back for service and then waiting two months for. This is just crazy for a $5k watch.

The leather strap attachment to the buckle have been redesigned. You don’t have 2 tails that fold and make. 180* turn.

Mine has AR crystal instead of the Cyclops on now, a Miltat strap. Mine looks amazing.

I would never put a 3rd party rubber strap on my SKX. It’s treason. The original rubber strap is what makes the watch look great. I live in a hot tropical climate. Absolutely no comfort issues with the Seiko strap. People always find something to complain about.

This one stands out to me because it's the only watch in their lineup with the glossy black dial instead of the textured matte black. I feel like the double dome works especially well with glossy dials, so I'm stumped as to why this is the only option offering it in black.

Wow, talking about skewed expectations. Come back with an actual test of a watch lume line up, and give your audience real value, instead of talking base less stuff into your shorts and steering wheel 👍

I have one also. Sapphire crystal. Sterile dial. This watch runs only a couple of seconds behind a Rolex Explorer. Not bad, hey. It’s a shame the moisture indicator is only a gimmick. Love this watch. Nice rubber strap. Looks good.

The lume is fine on mine I don’t know what you’re talking about. I wear mine throughout the night and it’s always legible

I’ve purchased the sapphire, sterile dial version. The Tornek-Rayville made watch isn’t available at the moment. Hopefully one day. 😅

My experience has been entirely different; when I wake up in the middle of the night, it's shining brightly. It's been amazingly pleasant.

I have the BB58 Boutique All Bronze 39mm of course. My lune is like a lantern, flash light, must be SuperLuma. Sorry to hear that you don't have the same experience

Just btw lume is almost irrelavent to the sport or hobby diver, depth is rare cos you can't see stuff, night dives rarer still, if on a nightdive without a torch, to charge lume for half an hour or see where you're going then you have other issues beyond horology......and like you say a pro diver will have already bought one or other of the Pelagos's......Dont get me wrong it IS irritating, my unimatic is the same, the issue is pad printing, more than one pass or press and you get perimiter issues and uneven edges. Even Seiko 5's have shaped (pressed) indicies that can be filled with a blob of lume or (more likely) pad pressed repeatedly as the boundry is physical as it were.

The glass and the curves look amazing. Simple watch.

Strange since my pelagos has Lume like a torch. It’s literally insane how bright it is. Off the charts.

Have you heard of my problems wirh the baton indices being slightly crooked? My 3oclock baton marker on my 54 looks slightly raised on the right side.

My BB58 is as bright as my Seiko Skx009. Love my 58 it’s perfection.

This is a great watch in every sense. My lume is great. What really throws me off though is how the lume pip in the bezel is slightly misaligned in lots of the bb54s I see out there (mine included). Quality control not on point for a watch at this price point.

Got drawn to this watch. Bought it used for $1100 in perfect condition with black and brown original straps. So it matches the shoes and the belts just fine. The perfect everyday office watch. Love it.

I have to say, I keep my watch on the table buy my bed. I find the 54 has ample lume through the night, similar to the 58. Certainly, more than enough to clearly see the time at 3 or 4 in the morning. Maybe it could have more. Do I personally need more? Gotta say no, I don't recognise the problem you describe.

Tropic or nylon strap please my eyes more.

I have a similar problem with an expensive watch I recently purchased. They advertised good lume !!!! Not so !! I want this 54 but know this has been brought to my attention, im having second thoughts. Hard to believe Tudor has neglected the loom 🧐

Bro! You are so SO right! I have an explorer I (124270) and the lume SUCKS BALLS!!!!!!!!!! I'm honestly thinking of getting rid of it. This makes me sad.

I also have a baby and use a Ball watch with tritium to check the time throughout the night. Lume never lasts.

Very nice. I've just ordered the sterile dial version like yours. Can't wait for it to arrive. Awesome to have such an accurate homage at such a price. Would've been nice to have the push down bezel, but then we'd be paying a lot more.
